SODA Forest Retreat
Braeside is SODA’s remote forest retreat on the southwest coast of WA, nestled in the forest 1.2 kms from Hamelin Bay.
Hamelin Bay is a serene open sandy bay, famous for the abundance of stingrays which frequent the bay.
The visiting artist has the option to research, make work or simply enjoy the natural surroundings during their stay at Braeside.
Surrounded by 3.5 acres of pristine Karri Eucalypt Forrest, the retreat is a three and a half hour car drive south west of Perth in one of Australia’s most beautiful wine growing regions.
Situated on the southern tip of the Leeuwin Cape where the Southern and Indian oceans meet, SODA forest retreat gives visiting artists the opportunity to experience a rare and pristine wilderness frontier.
